I had contemplated for 3 months before finally deciding to buy an annual membership to an MMA gym.

My major question was “Will this even work?”.

What if I never ended up not going to the gym?

What if I fall or something and people laugh?

What if I hurt myself?

What if this, what if that…

Even when I joined it, I constantly kept asking my trainer if this is going to work and if I can do it?

What was his answer?

Trust the Process.

You see there is a probability of assumptions that our brain makes to identify the possible threat to any situation.

It has been trained to do so since hunter-gather time.

Although we are in the modern age right now, the Threat Detector of our brain is still active like Spiderman.

It never stopped.

And now it associates itself with every small and big situation that it observes right now and starts doing possible risk assessments.

The best answer to stop the overthinking led by the brain is to just trust the process.

Yes, it will take some time.

You will be in the middle of the time where you will want to say ah no, I can’t take it anymore.

But you will see the major changes happening when you have already struck 95 times.

It is the same as death by 1000 cuts.

The person doesn't die until he has been cut 1000 times (it is a super weird analogy though).

So just stop overthinking, keep pushing through and wait for time to do miracles for you.

This was just the thought of the day.

You will see more of my thoughts and learnings via my post soon.

Till then Ciao.
