“Neuro-Typing” The Ultimate Brain Hack?

I LOVE science and biology, especially the biology of the brain. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been intrigued by the vastness of thought and the schematics of the mind. As I keep transforming my own body and progressing posthaste to the leading edge of the mythical nothing, I have begun to understand the energy of the soul that lies silent (or not) within me. The creation of Source, God, or Father is not a physical thing I can dissect and so it evolves more to having true knowledge of oneself. It’s the confidential business of you, The Creator, the “Personality”, all things of who I  believe I am. Inside our personalities lay the sealed blueprints of why we do what we do and our reactions to the realities of the living, exoteric world.

Neuro-Typing is a fun new idea to recycle a century-old concept of testing the personality and applying its data to solve a problem. According to a quick google search, “The first modern personality test was the Woodworth Personal Data Sheet, which was first used in 1919. It was designed to help the United States Army screen out recruits who might be susceptible to shell shock.”. -Google

In 2020, I was trained on how to use a personality test to intentionally seek out specific “types” of candidates for positions in the workplace. The intention of this tool I used was to harness the power of personality to intentionally build and develop a team that is successful in the Executive world by utilizing strategic questions of a potential employee’s perceived self.  I translate that into a class of “Neuro-Typing”. How would it be any different to use a test to determine what “type” a client is in the Health and Fitness realm?  Could we say that it would aid in the deeper understanding of their clients’ habits and provide insight to an outsider looking in? Or one step further, could a coach use this technique to determine if this is a client they even wish to work with? Therefore, the uses of Neuro-Typing are twofold and very beneficial. And I suppose that a coach could also use the basic questionnaire to serve that purpose.

In my experiences with taking personality tests, I answer the questions as I think I am, not as I respond in reality, leaving quite a bit of variability in the outcome. If a client is able to be completely honest with themselves (in my experience, some have not been) and not take the test with a need to save face or to appear as something they really are not, we now have access to tap into the perceived “I am”. We have the ability to cut straight to a protocol that could eliminate a lot of trial and error. We nix the cookie-cutter diets which have been proven as not optimal and instantly transport them to a personally tailored plan of execution.

My question is: How do we bridge the physical neurotransmitter balance gap to the science behind the psychology of the client’s personality which had been already classified as a “type” without the physical testing?

As a Coach, I can get pretty dang close to helping a client understand and expose some potential negative thought patterns that have resulted in complete bail campaigns. In addition, I am providing an insight into the body’s physical balance with a neurotransmitter panel. I recently found a urine Neurotransmitter Test online that could be used in conjunction with a personality test. Since I recently took a Neuro-Type test, I ordered the urine test as well to compare the results. How accurate is the personality test compared to the physical test? You are a lucky reader! I will follow up with a Part Deux on my results and comparisons in a future blog.

Here is my closing thought:

The science of testing for a “type, " whether for a perfect seat on the job or the ultimate diet, is only a tool. As much as I love the concept of Neuro-Typing, it’s still just a tool. Whatever your perceived failure is, your best bet is to find a transformation or functional health coach who has actually made the transformation and is still consistent in their personal lifestyles. They are still and will forever be walking on that path to ultimate health from a mindset perspective. You can transform your personality and what a personality test can’t detect is the power of human adaptability.

With all of this being said, a personality test and a urine panel are not the true barometers of who you really are. The discovery of oneself is the highest work and takes a lifetime.  Using science, personal growth development, and belief in who you are in harmonious balance with one another is the truest and highest form of success you will ever find. Health comes from the inside out.

Best wishes to you and your health!
