Ended my journey as Machine Learning Researcher at Telekom Innovation Laboratories!

As a Machine Learning Researcher, I was part of the AI Foundry team where I researched Conversational AI and created a proof of concept for a conversational interface to a washing machine with Rasa and Keras. Additionally, I created educational videos and gave presentations to promote the visibility of the newly formed AI Foundry and to share current developments in machine learning. 

Leveraging Synthetic Images with Domain-Adversarial Neural Networks for Fine-Grained Car Model Classification

I implemented and evaluated domain generalization algorithms for leveraging synthetic images for fine-grained car model classification.

I used DomainBed for performing the experiments.

Texture Classification and Contour Detection

I implemented and evaluated computer vision algorithms for texture classification and contour detection.

Wildfire Forecasting

I collaborated with another software engineer to try to understand if the size of wildfires can be forecast with deep learning using meteorological data. The experiments showed that meteorological data alone does not seem to provide enough information, but is valuable for augmenting other data such as satellite images.
