In my eight years of experience in logistics I have worked in many different roles. These roles are forklift operator, head of department’s quality, team leader and export coordinator. The experience that I have gained in all these roles is a complete understanding of every process in a company’s supply chain.
In my time working as a team leader and head of quality I started a project group whose main goal was to reduce the number of mistakes that were made and increase productivity. In just under a year, the department’s quality and productivity increased by 30% and the rest of the departments followed suit by implementing similar project groups. During this time, I learned how to lead projects, how to analyze and navigate Excel and how to implement changes on a broader scale.
All these experiences made me want to pursue a higher education in logistics which is why I am studying international business logistics. In this program, I have learned everything there is to know about logistics and supply chain and I also learned how to apply the knowledge in my current role as an export coordinator.
With fresh knowledge from my education and past experiences in logistics, I think I would make a great addition to any company.
