Halalscope Inc.

Co-founding a company
After a super minimal MVP that had some success, a partner and I set out on a journey in fintech with a focus on providing retail investors with valuable research and investment ideas in the Islamic finance space.

The company was called Halalscope, and we had even made it into an incubator with our own space to work on it. I spent much of my time day and night building a more polished set of tools for customers as traction had started to pick up.

Unfortunately, our growth was stunted as we struggled to find more customers, especially during a looming pandemic.

After looking into it some more, thanks to insightful members of our audience, it became evident that our market is very small due to certain factors.

In the end, I stopped actively working on the company around September 2020 and we began the process to wind down the company.
