Happy Teams make Happy Product

Before Product I dabbled in DTC Analytics, Operations, Biomedical Engineering, and Supply Chain. Which basically means that I have a huge bias for Excel analysis and models. 

I work at Sana Benefits, trying to make healthcare good, with ClassPass, maternity/fertility, and mental health included by default, rather than excluded by default.

I would like to manage people in the next 1-2 years, so the questions I'm currently researching are:
  • Despite being quite well compensated, and being in relatively coveted and rare positions of influence, what makes Product Teams so frustrated, blocked, disempowered, and unhappy?
  • How do these levels of unhappiness on Product Teams reduce the overall success and horizon of the company?
  • How might we diagnose and treat Product Team unhappiness?
