The Paris 2024 International Olympic Education, Sport, and Peace Conference, set for 25-26 July 2024 at the Town Hall of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, promises to be extraordinary, coinciding with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Amidst global political challenges, this conference underscores the urgent need for peace and development grounded in the enduring values of Olympism and Paralympism. These values aim "to place sport at the service of the harmonious development of humankind, promoting a peaceful society concerned with preserving human dignity." This conference will be conducted in an interactive format that explore essential themes such as: - Olympism, Pierre de Coubertin, Olympic, and Paralympic Values Education - Youth, Education & Skills Development - Sports Inclusion, Mental Health & Wellbeing - Sport Solidarity and Peace We are committed to fostering collaboration among stakeholders in Sport and Peace, emphasising values of respect, excellence, friendship, fair play, non-discrimination, and solidarity. Participants will consider how these values can be applied to global peace and community development and explore partnerships aligning with the United Nations Agenda 2030 SDGs. Expect engaging discussions, thought-provoking presentations, dynamic debates, and invaluable experience-sharing centred on Pierre de Coubertin’s vision.
