Received a technical assessment
Today, I wanted to highlight an event that took place last night and what had led up to it. I have spent quite some time, reading and learning Python. Over the last few days, I was speaking with a recruiter off of LinkedIn for a contract job I am hoping to land. In turn, we decided to move forward with my resume, and my assessment test. I have off and on for a little over 3 years have been able to get in hands-on practice. 5 kids and family issues can really put a damper on things. Last night, I was able to prove that hard work can and does pay off! My score was a 65, making me proficient according to IKM Online. It means that test results, in isolation, are not pure predictors of success in employment or any given role. But I want to highlight some of the more positive notes from this assessment:

1. I scored higher than 18% of all test-takers in this subject. (Python) I feel pretty dang awesome about that.

2. I  demonstrated above-average speed in analyzing and answering the questions and may be considered for time-critical projects. Work Speed/Accuracy can be critical in developing.

3. I demonstrated an average ability to apply my knowledge to practical applications.

4. I demonstrated a proficient or strong level of knowledge in 78% of the subject matter.

I can say that I honestly feel very happy with myself knowing that I have gained a lot of knowledge in Python and very ecstatic knowing
I have not only positive things but I also have a study guide on what I need to focus my studies on. This will only make me a better Python developer!
