Scott Wimsett on brand content as documentary, sustainability and selling principles

Hosted and published a podcast episode
I speak with the talented Scott Wimsett in my latest interview for Out of the Clouds. Scott is the founder and leader of digital content consultancy Bespoke Banter — not to mention a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle mastermind, key member of the Sustainable Beauty Coalition and an advisory board member of The British Beauty Council.

In our discussion, he shares about his early career, from PR to digital storytelling, and launching his company and why he felt, and still feels, that film (or video) is essential for brands and talent to tell a detailed story. Scott believes that brands can connect to their audiences and clients especially if they choose to use their media channels as documentary channels to tell their authentic stories and share values.

He also tells me about other meaningful projects which include a new podcast for the Royal Ascot called ‘Personal Threads’ and, in partnership with Arizona Muse, running and expanding The Feel Good Fellowship with the focus to “to create ultimate transparency among digital content, and to dissolve the barrier between brand and citizen.”

Scott loves to entertain good conversations as much as I do, so ours is an especially engaging dialogue. We finish by discussing mindfulness rituals, Vipassana meditation and the benefits we can gain from a steady mind-body routine.
