Hosted and published a podcast episode
This week, I am delighted to be featuring Manfreda Cavazza on the podcast, turning the tables on the writer, editor and journalist who has been copy-editing this weekly blog and newsletter since 2020. If you didn’t know I’d been writing that much, go have a look on the website! (avm.consulting)

Manfreda’s help has been very precious to me, and I don’t think I’d be writing or publishing anything, certainly not weekly, if I didn’t have her support.

So it was a real treat to invite her to talk about her own life and experiences, her career as a journalist, and her adventures sailing around the world for a year with her husband and two young daughters at the time.

Manfreda loves to talk about the gifts of storytelling and the importance of voice, tone and purposeful writing as tools for brands (or freelancers) to connect with their clients. We chat about writing with an “audience-first” mindset, why we both dislike the word “content,” what we can learn when we don’t fit in and how we could all try to use a little humour when writing copy.

For anyone who cares about how writing can support connection, conversation, and yes, conversion, this is a wonderful interview full of applicable insights. Listen here. Enjoy!
