The Orpheus Show

As one of The Orpheus Show's team members, I assisted and collaborated with the other developers in the team to create the website for the Podcast.

This opportunity served as a remarkable milestone for me, since it was the first experience I had (informally) collaborating with other Hack Club members from elsewhere in the world. It was a great experience, since everyone had control to do as they liked and conflicts were easily settled with discussions on the Hack Club Slack.

Created with Next.js and deployed on Vercel, the website serves as an introduction to the Podcast and links to direct listeners to the Podcast on different platforms.

ArashNrIm β€” v3.0

I completed the third iteration of my website, built with Next.js, Vercel, and TailwindCSS.

This iteration involved the most learning, since I had effectively built this website up from scratch. Originally starting out with Gatsby, I migrated the project over to Next.js while using the TailwindCSS framework to keep the design of the website consistent. I made the move to Vercel from GitHub Pages given Vercel's better integration with Next.js and superb performance as a hosting platform for my website.

ArashNrIm β€” v2.0

I completed the second iteration of my website, built the same boilerplate template from HTML5 UP! in v1.0 and tweaked manually.

This iteration involves overhauling the changes implemented in v1.0, with new additions and improvements to the website's flow. There was definitely more experimentation involved here, as I explored more about CSS and implemented some of my own custom additions to the boilerplate design.

Balloon Satellite Programme

I finished a hardware project of constructing a balloon satellite as part of a programme. The programme went through its course from mid-2020 to late-2020.

Created in collaboration with my school and NuSpace, I participated in the event and learnt the ropes to building a balloon satellite, a kind of nanosatellite. Together with three other classmates, we designed, built, and coded the satellite to collect environmental data while streaming live data from the satellite's camera. Overall, it definitely was an enjoyable experience despite our inexperience with the matter.

Sandbox

I started Sandbox, a repository for mini experimental projects for learning.

As a commitment to my learning experience with each project I embark on, as well as to share the experience of learning with anyone who views the repository, I try to make it a point to add learning logs to each project. That way, recalling what was learnt through re-accessing what I had when developing the mini-projects in the Sandbox will be much easier.
