I built a fantasy esports website called "Rosterpocalypse" dedicated to the Blizzard Entertainment game Heroes of the Storm. This was conceived and launched in 2 months following the announcement of an officially supported league-style tournament format in November 2016 at Blizzcon.
I ran Rosterpocalypse throughout 2017 along with a partner, learning a lot about everything from marketing to monetization in the process. Ultimately the site had to be shut down at the end of the year after failing to find a sustainable model to continue working on the site full time, but the process was extremely rewarding and I met many of the awesome people from the Heroes esports scene along the way.
