User interviews pointed to a disconnect between user's and barber's haircut knowledge. It was difficult for users to find a barber that was experienced in offering the style they preferred. And on the other hand, describing the hairstyle to the barber often led to misunderstandings. 

With Trym users were guided to select their ideal hairstyle through prompts, in their own words, or by uploading a picture.
