Here's a quick look-back to 2021. It was marked by my choice to become a programmer.

In this article, I give a short glimpse of my journey so far: learning an entirely new programming language, writing close to 40 articles related to programming, building five projects and much more. And the cherry on the top? Being admitted to the Recurse Center. It is a “self-directed, community-driven educational retreat for programmers based in New York”. My batch starts on the 3rd and I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to meet and work with some of the most curious and smart programmers from all over the world!

My #1 Highlight for 2021 is announcing, on November 30th, my resignation from my corporate job.

While the actual end date won't be till January 14th 2022, the announcement was done in 2021.

Just finished my last day working as a Full Stack Software Engineer. It was an amazing experience and it was great to end it on a high by winning the "Performer of the Year" award.

From the very beginning of the next year, I will start working as a Data Scientist. It was a goal that I wanted to achieve for some time and I'm glad that I was lucky enough to have a breakthrough.

A very rough and tough road lies ahead. I'm both excited and terrified, it's not easy to leave a comfort zone and head towards the unknown.
