I'm leaving Singapore!

It's no secret that I've had a pretty tough time acclimatising back to ho-hum life here in Singapore. The restrictions still limit people to 2 pax for dine-in and music is still banned in restaurants.

Had I not lived a life of normalcy in New York prior to coming back to Singapore, I would've fared better. Ignorance is bliss, and everything is relative. This feeling exists because I've seen cities rise above the pandemic and get on with their lives - allowing businesses to thrive and carry on as they recoup what was lost in the last 2 years.

This all-consuming, non-celebratory, adventureless version of Singapore has been a hard pill to swallow. Humans need connectivity. They need some event to hold onto to make them feel alive (rather than someone just living through the motions). I hope Singapore gets there someday...

In the meantime, I've started shopping for winter clothes to brave the winter weather in New York City! I have no idea how to dress appropriately for what is said to be the coldest months of the year... But here goes... A new adventure awaits!
