Placed 4th place in the GLS national consulting competition with a team of three others. Our no name school (The King's College, yeah don't even pretend you've heard of it) came in behind Dartmouth and Stanford so I'm cool with that as a first attempt.
Ironically we were told our strategy was too conservative for the hospitality company in question. They wanted a big plan to build and market multiple new hotels in Asia in time for summer 2020....
Kind of a build it they will come and make up for the budget deficit mentality. Gotta be honest that's not how I roll at all, but the team we worked with from the company was nice and really appreciated our feedback at one point even recommending we do this full time. (We already were)
I'm not saying we were right, I'm just saying not many people were paying for 5 star hotels in Asia in 2020.
