Design Process: 10) Are Problems Solved and Applicable Goals Met?

At this point, all of the requirements should be defined and solutions should be formulated from a design perspective.

Verify everything is where it needs to be and that there are no questions.

Review the findings of your research. Are the customer’s goals being met? If not, you need to circle-back and re-evaluate either the goal or the solution.

If you have various design teams (Research, UX, Visual Design, And Content for example) they need to all be on the same page at this point and understand what the plan is.

Oftentimes development, marketing or another department will lose their focus on this project as they tend to turn their attention to something else. This is an important step for everyone, as it is important that any discrepancies or gaps are identified at this point and everyone understands what their responsibilities are.

Potential Pitfalls

How can you measure success if you don’t reflect on what you are working on? It’s that simple. This should be a major check to make sure you are working on the right thing instead of what someone has bent it to be for their own reasons.
