I'm an engineering manager, software engineer, writer, mentor, and podcaster.

I work towards creating great and high-performing systems and teams whose members work in sync, have good communication, share common principles, and are aligned on the same goal.

I write, host a podcast, send a newsletter, advise companies, and mentor/coach people to share whatever I learned.

I hike, snowboard, swim, read, play bass guitar, and travel. Once I had a garden and I'm looking forward to having it back soon!

As a new manager, I’ve experienced different challenges in my first months. A few of them were building a new team, onboarding, and coaching people on the way. All these challenges have taught me one thing: the importance of empathy.

While I had new things on my plate, other people were also impacted and changed their roles and teams. I needed to build trust with the team and understand each of them.

It’s still an ongoing journey, and I wrote about what I learned, practiced, and saw that working.

This post is also another milestone for me. I hired a copy editor to give me feedback on the article. So, this article has a “professional touch.”

Thanks for reading!

I've been thinking about how we approach software engineering and why we have a lot of struggles to understand our profession. Besides its philosophy, we need to understand what we're trying to achieve with software engineering and how we can move forward.

I wrote my opinions about our profession and how we can embrace innovation and become artist-engineers.
This post is an opinion post based on my experiences. Click the link below to read it. 👇

Hired an Editor
I'm finally taking the extra step in writing. I hired an editor to review some of my articles and help me take my writing to the next level.

It's an exciting journey to learn to write better in a language, which is not my mother tongue.

Soon, I will publish the first article that my editor helped me.

P.S. It sounds cool to say, "I have an editor."
