JOINCIC (Jornadas INtrunicersitrias de CIencias de la Computación) is an educational conference focused in Computer Science, organised by students from 4 of the biggest universities in Caracas, Venezuela. The event was a 5-day conference with technical talks and workshops from teachers and people in the tech area.
I started volunteering as part of the protocol and end up being one of the General Coordinators from my university. Part of the work we did was organise the event, logistics, contact speakers, manage the budget from sponsors, etc.
This experience gave me the opportunity to understand how the conference world works and connect with a lot of people in tech who taught me a lot.
