Cassandra invests globally into early-stage (pre-seed through Series B) frontier and deep tech startups aiming to solve the world’s toughest problems and fundamentally transform markets through moonshot innovation. Investing on behalf of Upheaval Investments of Chicago, she is based in the SF Bay Area and globally. Industries of focus include quantum and next gen computing, aerospace, robotics, advanced materials, AI/ML, data, privacy and security, healthtech, and cleantech. 

She is passionate about breakthrough innovation grounded in commercial viability, and with a line of sight to a massive, platform scale. Cassandra is a former operator with expertise in international market development, sales, business development, and technology commercialization. In her pursuit to explore the maturation of the global startup and technology ecosystem and cultural nuances of the world, she has lived and worked across the Americas (U.S., Mexico), APAC (Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand), and EMEA (UK, Switzerland, Germany, UAE), and traveled to 40 countries. 


A graduate of Brown University playing for four years on the D1 golf team, Cassandra is a lifelong athlete, third degree black belt and enjoys fitness, sports, the outdoors and extreme adventures. In her free time, you can find her re-reading Stephen Hawking, learning how to code, photographing nature, flying drones at sunrise and exploring new (to her) countries and cultures.
