Hello, nerdsI code on occasion, believe it or not. My latest deal is I'm making as many useful things with React and Next.js as humanly possible. I also have some non-coding things that I do, which is mostly here on Polywork!
I love jokes and musicals. Also candy. If you would like to discuss these things, you can join my Patreon or follow me on Twitter. You can also ask me anything (within reason).

Organized and hosted a fundraiser stream with twelve fantastic guests!
Each guest showed us something wonderful around the world of web development, and we raised $10,000 in the process!
The guestsDave Rupert, Kevin Powell, George Francis, Monica Powell, Michael Chan, Josh Comeau, Kent C. Dodds, Chris Coyier, Varun Vachhar, Cassidy Williams, Scott Hanselman, and Amelia Wattenberger.
Sponsors$5,000 worth of donations were matched by five wonderful companies, to help us reach our $10,000 goal.
Prismic, Netlify, Cloudinary, StepZen, and Orbit all stepped up and helped our donors double their giving! Huge thanks to those companies!
What I didI organized the event, booked the guests, the sponsors, and lots of other tasks leading up to the day, including managing the project as a whole.
During the event, I acted as host, but also handled the AV aspects of the stream, bringing on and taking off guests, and interacting with the chat.
Help from my friendsI had a ton of help from the Frontend Horse community, and I couldn't have done it without them.
Leif Niemczik put together all the gorgeous animations and graphics that allowed us to put on a top-quality show. He worked for many days, making sure the animations were whimsical and gorgeous, all as a volunteer for the cause.
Ben Myers and Ryan Trimble helped with coding things like the progress bar, the donation list, and many other elements that went into the stream overlay.
There were many other folks who helped me reach out to sponsors and guests or just gave advice. It was truly a
A wonderful success! It was a huge undertaking and so worth it, as we raised enough to remove over five tons of trash from the ocean!
