I found this book by Brad Frost a really enlightening read as it goes beyond simply the idea of component libraries. I like the focus on collaborative processes/ workflows themselves as a system in itself, being the necessary foundation of building a successful design system within a team. One more immediate effect of reading this book was definitely my increased attention to ‘breaking apart’ components I create/use/see everyday, and taking a pause to think about whether an atom/organism is truly necessary in context of the whole.
