Reviewed a book
"Our potential is one thing. What we do with it is quite another."

Book 45: 'Grit: Why passion and resilience are the secrets to success by Angela Duckworth'. Grit is made up primarily of passion and perseverance. However, you can break it down even further into interest, practice, purpose, and hope.

One question that stood out in this book more than any other was the following:

How do you cultivate a culture of grit?

We often talk about the importance of having a growth mindset or having a strong character but how are we developing that for ourselves and the people around us?

To build grit, the author argues that we need to overextend ourselves and apply ourselves to deliberate practice. It's also important to surround yourself with people who are both supportive and demanding.

If the authors finding are true and talent isn't destiny, then by developing grit we can begin to achieve great things. The only question remains are you willing to put in the work?
