Atmospheric physicist and data scientist. Scientific software developer. I work in the development and production of operational weather models. I optimize their performance by monitoring the quality of their output and carefully assessing their predictions. For the majority of my work I use the tools of data engineering and data science, working with geospatial data and ~terabyte-sized model output and observational data sets. I also have a particular interest in the field of data visualization. Past experience in computational fluid dynamics for wind energy applications, superfluid dynamics in neutron stars, signal analysis of gravitational waves and black hole physics.
