Detailed a system
+1
I just finished reading "Work the System" by Sam Carpenter. I first heard about Sam's book on the BiggerPockets podcast (episode 510) where they interviewed him and his business partner about "working the system" and how they apply the practice to both their business and personal lives.

As I'm a sucker for process, I immediately downloaded the book and dove in. I'm now constantly identifying things that need a system and have started quite the list of processes to define.

One of my key takeaways was the need for these processes and systems to be documented so that the business doesn't need the owners to be an integral part of the day-to-day operations. Internally we've referred to this as our tribal knowledge and the need to get it out of our heads.

I highly recommend checking out "Work the System" and putting it into practice.
