David McDowell is a policy analyst, political consultant, and organizer in Jackson, Mississippi. He owns and operates EQV Strategies, named for the Latin phrase “Esse quam videri,” which means “to be, rather than to seem.” David seeks to link social justice work to government relations in order to create better outcomes and promote marginalized communities in the policy process. He is earning his Masters in Divinity and Public Theology at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond Virginia.
