I produced this record for the bro Kylo in 2019 when I first moved to LA! Kylo is also from my home state of CT and we had been trying to link since I first moved out here but at the time I really didn’t have the bread for a studio session so he just told me to slide and don’t worry about paying! So I pull up and I play him a couple beats and he really isn’t feeling them so I was like alright I’ll cook something up fresh and so I start making a melody and I’m adding some effects “and I remember this sequence of events very vividly” and he says he doesn’t like it so I tell him “hold on bro trust me I’m about to go crazy!” I like to turn things that don’t sound good into something else!! So as soon as I added this certain effect he quickly changed and said “bro!! keep adding!!” so I add the drums but it was still missing something so my girl told me to change up how the 808’s come in and take out a few kicks and that’s pretty much how the dip in the drums were made! So I guess you can say me and my girl produced this record haha! Kylo recorded the base of the song right there on the spot! and eventually released this only on SoundCloud a couple months later.
