In the culture & music biz since 1994, I was initially active in the area of exhibition, seminar & event organization.
In 1999 I took over the production department at an independent, physical music distributor, where I acquired my knowledge of vinyl & CD manufacturing, music marketing and sales promotion, as well as classic label management from scratch.
In 2001 I switched to the EFA-Medien-Distribution team in Hamburg, where I gained further international experience in sales management for labels such as Basic Channel, BPitch Control, International DeeJay Gigolo Records, Kanzleramt, Chicks on Speed and Tresor.
Starting in 2004 with the establishment of my own small consulting agency electroslam.com, I mainly concentrated on digital music marketing and advised distributors, labels and artists as a freelancer. Among other things, I was able to significantly contribute to the development of the distribution label pool of the independent, digital service provider finetunes GmbH.
At the same time, I worked on becoming more professional in the book and publishing industry and was appointed to head the eBook and audio book department at Zebralution GmbH in Berlin in 2012. There I coordinated eBook product- and sales management for publishers such as Bastei Lübbe, Orell Füssli, Rogner and Bernhard, Koch / Hannibal and Diaphanes.
I was also responsible for the acquisition of publishers and digital marketing for all audio book labels as Random House Audio, Argon, Bastei Lübbe Audio, Hoffmann & Campe, Hörbuch Hamburg and many others. In 2015, I switched to Deezer, a streaming platform, as Senior Manager Audiobooks, where I set up and curated the audio book area, helped shaping the marketing strategy (including TV advertising!) and managed the audiobook-app development.
As Senior Category Manager Digital - Audio & Projects, I now am responsible for exclusive audiobook downloads at Thalia Bücher GmbH since 2020.
