It's 11 pm.
The rain hammers against my window and my desk lamp flutters on and off. The wind whistles through the window panes, and my full mug of tea is long forgotten.
Encapsulated in the glare of my laptop screen, I barely notice a thing.
I'd interrupted my evening skincare routine when I had a sudden hit of inspiration. As I brought a particular product to my face, a paragraph of copy wrote itself in my mind, and I scurried back to my desk to write it.

To create spec work for Nip+Fab's Teen Skin Fix Spot Zap Blemish Treatment.
⚙ The Process
Once I had the copy written, I searched Canva for an appropriate graphic.
After a quick round of graphic design, I created the following spec advert.
💡The Results
I shared the finished advert on X, and was incredibly surprised that Nip+Fab had responded to it!
I shared my success within Word Tonic, an online learning platform and copywriting community I'm a member of. Word Tonic's website was in the middle of a re-brand, and my spec work is now featured on one of the landing pages on the website.
