Ad Rider was conceived during the 2021 Pittsburgh Civic Hackathon. This app is a business model for small businesses to feature digital advertising displays on the sides of Port Authority buses and use a portion of incoming ad revenue to reduce bus fares for riders. This app could easily scale for use in other cities with public transportation systems in place.
