This study focuses on designing an Open loop dual axis solar tracking system for domestic use and evaluate the effectiveness of solar tracking in our region. Open-loop works on solar position data according to which tracker changes position without the need for feedback from light sensor and complex circuitry. Solar tracker is developed from a simple mechanical structure with a control system to control movement of tracker. Online software was used to get sun position data for Hyderabad, Sindh (25.39°N, 68.38°E), which was fed in microcontroller. Two DC motors connected to motor driver to control the tracker’s position by operating motors for different time.
