Hi! 👋 I'm an remote engineering leader, remover of obstacles, and fearless technologist.

- Leadership, vision, and execution for delivering products that change the world
- Experienced remote engineering executive with a strong technical background
- High-caliber experience at Fortune 500 companies and award-winning start-ups

💼
I'm Senior Engineering Manager for Nomad, HashiCorp's powerful, radically simple technology for running applications at scale. As the head of engineering for Nomad, I partner with product, design, and executive leadership to develop product strategy, drive technical execution, and create a great remote culture where engineers can thrive.

Before HashiCorp, I managed a growing team of GCP cloud architects at SADA, an award-winning Google Premier Services Partner. My team was among the very first to be tapped to productionize Google's Anthos for real-world deployment. We provided deployment and infrastructure services for a diverse set of clients, including some of the world's largest enterprises. I came to SADA from Intel's AI Products Group (née Nervana Systems.) Our team worked on what would ultimately became Intel's Nervana DevCloud.

🍎
At Apple, I was one of the first four system engineers for the iTunes Store and Apple's internet services. My career there would take me far and wide: I worked for Apple Professional Services in Tokyo, Japan, and would later join Apple's factory software engineering team in Shenzhen, China. I had the pleasure of working on almost every device made in the last decade: iPhones, iPods, Apple TVs, iMacs, Watch, and more. As the software engineering lead for mass production, I worked with my team to develop tools used to produce millions of devices at scale. In 2015, I left Apple to join the cloud computing revolution and the Bay Area's vibrant start-up ecosystem.

💖
I'm passionate about building inclusive engineering organizations and empowering technical leaders to create great products. My background is a mix of software development, systems architecture, and OS engineering. These experiences give me a unique perspective on what it takes to successfully produce software products at scale and build happy, high-performing teams.

Outside of work, I'm a calligrapher and an amateur machinist with a growing stable of 3D printers. I also repair and restore vintage fountain pens.
