Global SME Growth Pilot - Simulation

In this intensive and practical course, I with my fellow classmates explored the operations of multilateral institutions in generating calls for tenders and assigning multimillion contracts to qualified consultancies specializing in International Project Management. Efficient management of these international projects requires well-trained professionals capable of understanding, designing, structuring, organizing, managing, and implementing the project life cycle. These procedures, which control the invested funds, demand industry specialists who excel in time management. These professionals are the PMs, managing projects executed by international experts in their respective fields. Throughout the program, we examined how multilateral institutions generate tenders and assign contracts to companies and professionals experienced in International PM. The funding institutions act as clients, controlling the funds and demanding specialists tailored to the specific project. The Team Leader, as the Field Project Manager, orchestrates the project like a conductor. By the end of the course, I had gained: 1. A comprehensive understanding of the International Cooperation Projects Management industry and professional practice. 2. Insight into the size and opportunities of this multimillion-euro industry, resilient to economic crises, and the expanding business of commercial bidding. 3. Hands-on experience through a real-time project simulation, experiencing the stress and competitive deadlines of bidding. 4. Personal insights into my comfort level working in a competitive environment. Basic skills to write a winning proposal and effectively manage a practical project. 5. Familiarity with the jargon and tips essential to the trade in this multimillion industry and project management. Knowledge of the tools required to write a winning proposal for a tender and secure contracts.
