Day 3:  DongYanShan National Forests Park >> Daxi >> Taipei

We climbed some mountains, we got caught in a rainstorm, we saw some amazing views. So grateful to be able to experience the ocean, mountains, and rivers all in one trip. So grateful to be able to go out and mingle with strangers without fearing the COVID... a really good mid-autumn escape.

Whew: finally updated my site/portfolio at thegraceyang.com with work at Skyrock Projects after updating a year-old neglected site! Excited to find new design/code projects/products to ease into! Read about my past year's experience as Digital Director at Skyrock Projects here. 

Getting back into drawing _off_ the computer-- I purchased a Moleskine and a set of pigment liners and everything.

Taiwan Business Topics July 2021 issue cover design complete!

This was their annual Travel & Culture edition, featuring the Mazu Pilgrimage-- an incredible event where thousands of Mazu's worshippers follow the goddess up the west coast of Taiwan.

This was their annual white paper edition. I felt like most previous designs were so smooth and slick with vector graphics, so I took some time to test and create some Illustrator brushes so the graphics could have some texture and more personality.
