I've been a computer nerd for as long as I can remember. My brother taught me some QBasic when I was young, and I've been hacking away ever since.

I've been lucky enough to have started as a hacker, completed a university education, and find a place in a high functioning team of amazing software engineers. My background gives me a broad range of experience from the bottom of the stack to the top: from embedded microcontrollers and operating system design, to globally distributed systems across multiple cloud infrastructures.

I continue to hone my technical skills by learning new tools and techniques. I'm polishing my public speaking skills by delivering local and internal talks on a broad range of subjects; And my team oriented skills strengthen every day as I participate in mentoring, code reviews, roadmapping and planning, and architecture design.

I'm with Workiva today, working to make incredible software. I'm challenged to both deliver excellent solutions and to improve myself daily and I'm excited to do both.
