Why not follow up graduating with creating a startup?

This year, I'm completing my master's degree in computer science. Nevertheless, things remain exciting for me: Together with Laurenz Mädje, I am currently founding the startup Typst. Our product allows students and scientists to work together on their papers and effortlessly adapt them to the style standards of different journals and conferences.

Having written four papers in computer science, I have experience with scientific publications myself and know of the problems that can arise in the writing and typesetting process. Laurenz and I are convinced that we can come up with something better than the existing solutions.

Typst is a new, high-performance typography system combining the highest typesetting quality and easily applied templates with high user-friendliness and runs directly in your browser.

For Typst, I program many new features in the Rust programming language, work on our web app as a full stack developer, and take care of our development as a company. Currently, we are looking for a third co-founder for business development.
