It’s official: vamos! has been acquired by Jodel.
After an exciting journey that started in the summer of 2019 with some friends on vacation, the era finally ends in Jodel's Berlin HQ. ☀️
Jodel has always been one of our closest competitors in Germany, because a lot of Jodel’s users actually meet up through the app. Something for which we originally built vamos! We will try to engage and leverage this use case in Jodel even more in the future.
That's why I will also join Jodel full-time, working on product and moderation. It's a great step for me personally to ensure that vamos!' vision will continue to live on within Jodel.
I want to thank two people who gave me a chance to grow in life and career: Marcel, our first investor at vamos!, and Alessio, founder and CEO of Jodel. Of course, I could list dozens more here, but that would be too cheesy, right? 😉
