Data Science: Visualisation
We've all been there: After gathering & sorting through our data and investigating interesting insights... How do we communicate our findings to stakeholders?
For that matter, how do we ensure we're showing our insights honestly - without introducing our own biases?
That's what this sprint was all about - among other things.
We learned about:
- visual storytelling,
- the basics of plots, graphs, and data mining,
- visualisations in Python (using Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.)
- hypothesis testing (everyone loves a bit of stats right)
And finally we were introduced to Microsoft Power BI & Tableau.
To finish off our sprint we used some real-world datasets from various South African companies to build some dashboards & draw some insights in a visually appealing manner.
