While in Germany for a couple of months, I wrote my second full-length album, which I ended up recording at the famed London Bridge Studios in Seattle with Eric Lilavios as producer.  I had the joy of bringing some of my favorite musicians to play on the album like Owour Arunga *(Macklemore & Ryan Lewis), Teo Shantz on drums, Masa Kobayashi on bass (plays for Clinton Fearon). It was truly a dream come true to record in this space. I titled it "Song of Lament" because there were so many difficult things happening in the world at the time and it felt like an opportunity to grieve what was happening all around me. I ended up putting together a tour to support the release and brought my daughter along. We had some amazing experiences driving from Washington to California... flying to the East Coast and playing shows in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and then taking the train to Chicago where I played in the midwest. Later that fall, we headed to Europe where I played several sold-out shows in Italy. Returned to my favorite venue in Hamburg for another sold-out show, and also went to Belgium.... all with my daughter in tow... and what a blast that was!
