I think the future of work (in the 'knowledge economy') is asynchronous, remote, pseudonymous, and retainer/contract based. Lots of things that require non-enduser physical manipulation won't even be onsite, but be shipped elsewhere, or automated onsite. Anything that doesn't, anything that is just a product of thinking about a solution and making it happen through software, people and process management, or the human-to-keyboard realm is going to be globalized.
