Became a GitHub Campus Expert
Selected as Community Leader
I'm finally a GitHub Campus Expert! 🎉

I've always been passionate about creating communities with an environment of collaborative learning. I applied to the program because I believe that the GitHub Campus Experts program will empower me on my journey.

This is such a huge milestone for me and it feels super rewarding to finally be part of the Campus Experts community - after months of attempts and efforts! I really hope to live up to the expectations set by my peers and me when it comes to contributing to the community!

Feeling blessed and grateful :))

Started a new role at Google Developer Student Clubs
I'm joining the Core Committee of the Google Developer Students Club at my uni as a Management Team Executive!

Bringing a GDSC to my campus was one of my biggest dreams, and I'm happy to have gotten so close to becoming a Lead at my campus! I'd made it till the interview round, after which a senior who'd also applied got selected as the Lead.

Maybe I didn't get to be the Lead, but bringing the club to college was the ultimate vision and it makes me happy to see that a peer shares the same goal too!

I look forward to bringing value and inclusivity to the local community at my campus ✨

Attended an event
I feel blessed to have attended the very first GitHub Field Day India. I got to meet India's top 160 leaders in student tech communities. It was so invigorating to be among such a brilliant crowd!

GitHub Field Day is an unconference for tech community leaders to come together to discuss and exchange ideas on all things community. We got to share tons of knowledge, laughter and memories together through this event!

It is an event that all of us will cherish dearly for years to come :)

Contributed to open source
Attended an event
I created and merged my first PR in Open Source today! Open Source had always seemed intimidating and hard to grasp for me, which made me put it off for long.

When I heard's was hosting Open Source Day 2021, I was slightly nervous, but the event claimed to be a guided intro to Open Source and that was hella reassuring.

I chose to contribute to CircuitVerse, and made my first contribution on the Interactive Book. It was a simple typo fix, but I got to learn a lot with the guidance of several helpful mentors there. Now I'm more confident about contributing to OSS and I've decided to become more active on this!

Things I learned:
  • Git and Github
  • Contribution Practices
  • Gitpod
  • Some Terminal stuff
