Volunteered at Amsterdam Roots Festival for the second and last year! I spent the whole afternoon doing face painting for dozens of kids while keeping an eye on our stand, the kids, and their parents. It was super fun, I loved it! I met such incredible people: also volunteering, a woman who had a radio program aimed at lonely people and befriended a Dutch woman who moved to Portugal because she doesn't want to die in a rainy country, and Ada, a very nice African soap maker with whom I got the chance to speak a couple of words in Portuguese because she knew creole.
