After a semester of learning to make web pages, I wanted to learn how to make a website that could do authentication, have a database, etc. My dad printed out fat stack of tutorials from PHP Dev Shed for me to go through. My friends and I made websites for Diablo II and Warcraft III clans (although WC3 got delayed for another two years...)
