Installed starlink
My mom lives in northern arizona semi off grid and needed more reliable internet access than her 3G jetpack device was able to give her. Sadly these devices only allow 3 or so devices connected at the same time. A few weeks back my brother and I ordered her Starlink and we went out this weekend and installed it for her. #Starlink comes with a stand you can use if want to just put it on the ground and it will point at the sky automatically or using various installation options you can use standard satellite dish equipment to mount it to your wall or roof.

Our installation we used a dishnetwork style mound where we drilled holes in the sides of the upright tube to accept the 2 tabs to lock the unit in place. With that done we ran the cable into the prefab home and plugged the unit in. With a bit of whirling around, it found the satellites and provided my mom with 100Mbps down which is great!

The kit comes with the dish, ground mount, power injector and router. The router has a AUX connection which you could use to connect a network switch if you needed to hard wire other devices.

It's a solid setup and way better than 3G verizon cellular. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this holds up for them and how the weather may or may not affect it. For $100/mo, the unit I think is well worth it and now her 18 devices can be connected to the built-in wifi and be connected reliably.
