Pip pip Polyworkians!

Feeling a bit sluggish today. I mean, more than just the Monday Morning blahs. Not sure why, because I wasn't very active this past weekend, although I did get in 25,000 steps, so it wasn't **that** lazy a weekend! Probably just the heat, with 3 more days of it ahead of us. Of course, mid-90s is nothing compared to the Pacific Northwest, where temps are expected to be around 115! The highest temperature ever recorded in Canada was recorded yesterday. Crazy.

Didn't watch any movies. I did make some more progress on *Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty*, as the names are getting pulled down. It's a bit stodgily written but gets the point across - they are just terrible terrible people. I started *City on the Hill*, Showtime's series with Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge about the Boston crime scene in the early 90s.  And got a little further in my edX course, *Fundamentals of TinyML*. Colab looks pretty cool.

The kitchen renovation is progressing. We got some electrical work done on Saturday, so we can finally use the refrigerator, range and microwave. Lots more electrical work to be done, but hopefully he can finish up on Wednesday. We also got the counter top finished. Not real happy with the material (Dekton). It looks brittle and the seam down the middle is annoying. I advise you to just go with granite in your new kitchen.

Slowly, ever so slowly, striding into the salt mine, head up and heart strong. Going to see if me work around "fixes" the crash on my co-worker's machine. Have a few other tickets to close out, but looks possible. Plenty of meetings planned, that's for sure. And writing tax documents, if you can believe it.

Stay safe. Wash your hands. Wear a mask. Watch your distance. Get Vaccinated! Actually, no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as "ready". There is only now. - Hugh Laurie
