Left a role at Big Kitty Labs
I just ended my journey as Software Engineer at Big Kitty Labs! I'm super grateful for the team there taking a risk on me so very early in my career.

Of all the early-stage products I got to work on while I was there, this was one of my favorites. I drove the development and design of a native iOS app for inventory management, as part of our work with a stealth healthcare startup. I learned a lot working on this product, and I'm always happy to talk about it!

Released a product
I just launched RailsWork, a job board for Ruby on Rails Developers. You can browse jobs and apply to them, and recruiting folks can make an account and create a job!

You can check it out live here - RailsWork

It's written with Ruby on Rails, leverages postgresql, and is deployed on Heroku. I've added Markdown support for job descriptions, Stripe for job posting fees (that was hard 😅), and analytics for job posters to see how their jobs are performing.

I mostly did this to push the boundaries of what I know and develop my skills, but I'd be thrilled to see people getting some value out of it. It still needs some work, but it's a side project after all 🤷‍♂️

Recruiting friends, I'd love to hear what I can change to make this more valuable for you! Job-seeking friends, I'd love to hear the same!

Wrote a book
My book is officially out! You can find it on

I spent the last 6 months pouring all my frustrations learning to program into a book made for absolute beginners. Along the way, I added interviews from tons of generous and incredible software developers.

Learn the basics of coding with Swift and read the stories of tons of incredible developers! No matter your skill level, there's something for you.

I have an addiction to updating my website, what can I say 🤷‍♂️

Also, I reflected on the last 4 years of my CS degree in my latest blogpost

Developed an iOS app
I created an iOS app that interfaces with the Github API to browse users and their followers. Created while taking Sean Allen's Take Home Project Course.

I used Swift and UIKit with Programmatic UI, made network calls using URLSession, persisted data using UserDefaults, and explored CollectionViews with DiffableDataSource.

You can see my code on Github here.
