Since it's carnival time in germany..
In the spring of 2021, only 2 (non family) people were allowed in the same room (german lockdown rule). So the carnival tradition of 'storming the local administration', doing a back and forth speech with a funny recap of the last year, couldn't be done.
So I was like: What if they meet up in a digital space? I still got a digital Version of the building in Minecraft, that I made years ago.
Meaning: I was alone filming the 2 sides of the 'battle'. I wrote a quick intro for the scenario and did every single job on and off set (only the speech was written by Rudi Schulz). Really missed a team for this. In the end I had to cut out a lot of the cartboard people sending in their pictures, since the project got rushed before it was done. At least I managed to get it enough of it done. Without a team, it's crunch time of doom. At the picture you can see a glimpse of what was planned compared to the video. Didn't even had the time for producing the music, since the 3D model needed to be transformed into some sort of castle. Well, long story short. For my first video with greenscreen screen I'm kinda proud of the quality I managed to create. :)
And in the people were happy to see a little something of the magic that was planned. Making people at home happy in those horrible, isolating times was the goal and in the end we fulfilled it.
