Jim Galakti is a multi-style, multi-instrumental and multicultural artist from Essen, Germany. His main instrument is the trumpet, but he also plays flute, piano, keyboard, guitar, drums and various ethnic and traditional wooden whistle. His music is broad and varied: from classic jazz, swing and Bossa nova to big band, funk, reggae, dub, ska, new age and electronica. The music he composed himself cannot be classified as fluid, amorphous but highly melodic and harmonic. Some call it space, some abstract environment, some - future jazz.
