I am a Data wrangler - I build #ETL pipelines in Python and Java, with SQL and NoSQL to support #BigData and #DataScience research projects.

My extensive background in Unix (Solaris) systems programming has given me a wealth of experience and knowledge about how to architect and build projects from OS build systems and low-level libraries through to cloud-native applications.

I take big pictures and create architecture to make them a reality. I redesign, refactor and reimplement, I remove inefficiencies and create the infrastructure you need to deliver high quality and high performance solutions. 

Efficient, expressive code and build systems are my passion. Code review and mentoring are core values. I love sharing what I’ve written and learnt.

I cycle in beautiful Brisbane as much as I can. Happier working from home than in an office.
