Contributed to Vite (https://vitejs.dev), a fast, ESM-based bundler for web applications 

Made my first code contributions using the Rust programming language:
Contributed to WSL-Hello-sudo, a tool that lets you use Windows Hello (touch/face unlock) for sudo auth in Linux.

Launched studentenfutter.app – an app with recipes contributed by students from all over Germany.

The design (also for the printed version of the recipe book) comes from UI designer Rieke Helmers, the development was done by me. The app is built as an MPA based on Kirby CMS, with the frontend utilizing Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS.
It works offline and takes advantage of modern PWA functionality like the Periodic Sync or the Content Indexing API thanks to a fully custom Service Worker.

I won the Frontend Quiz Challenge hosted by vuejs.amsterdam: https://vuejs.amsterdam/stories/frontend-quiz-challenge/

The prize was a 1-year membership at frontendmasters.com, which I used to learn more (among others) about animation and design systems 🧠

Together with two fellow students I created Smart Hub, a smart home app that lets you control an alarm system, a kettle and various environment sensors (temperature, humidity...).

It consists of three components:

1. The controller that connects to the sensors – we used an ESP8266 microcontroller and programmed it using C++/Arduino.
2. A Node.js server, establishing communications between the controller and the web app and responsible for sending out push notifications.
3. A progressive web app built with Vue.js and Tailwind CSS.
